A couple of weeks ago I did a review for Gadling on the Clever Travel Companion pickpocket-proof underwear and tank top. I was so impressed with the products that I opted to try out their long johns, as well. They’re unisex, feature a 2-button fly, and are made with 95% cotton and 5% spandex.
First of all, know that the size recommendations are accurate. I’m a size 4/6 US in jeans and ordered an extra small. When the long johns came I was a little skeptical if I would actually fit into them, as they looked really tiny; however, putting them on they fit like a glove. They’re extremely comfortable and even after wearing them for an entire day I didn’t want to take them off. There are two pockets on the front of the long johns, which is great because they will not puff out or create bulges as they most likely would if they were on the sides. While the pockets aren’t enormous, they’re perfect for putting your passport in one pocket and your cards and keys in the other.
Unless a thief is literally reaching into your pants (and even then, the pockets have zippers and are right in front of you), there’s really no way you’re going to lose your things while traveling. Along with being pickpocket-proof, this product is great for people like me who are super disorganized and usually need to reach into 100 different places to find things. I would highly recommend this product to travelers as well as anyone who just wants a pair of warm, comfortable long johns.
